Relying on the globalized R&D organizations, HBIS has successfully developed and delivered its first 7 pieces of 137mm-142mm thickness low Si Hydrogen Cr-Mo steel plates to customer，these plates will be used to construct China-Venezuela Joint Venture, Guangdong Chemical 20 Million ton Heavy Crude Oil Refinery Project. The inspection and surface qualification rate of this batch of steel plate reached 100%, and the manufacturing time is 14 days shorter than industry average. Before this contract, HBIS has already developed the import replacing plates of 172mm thick and 49.58ton Cr-Mo steel, creating new records of thickness and weight, improving the domestications of the plates, and promoting the kind of steel plate localization to be realized in petrochemical industry.

Since more and more rigorous requirement of product characteristics of technology from customer side and the trend of petrochemical equipment towards large-scale development, innovation becomes the engine to assist HBIS to upgrade its products, and meeting all industrial demands becomes the direction of HBIS development.
To meet “Personalized” demands to high thickness low Si hydrogen Cr-Mo steel plates of high end customers, HBIS together with its partners including Northeast University, CNPC, Sinopec, enhances its coordination along the whole industrial chain, successfully develops the key technologies in manufacturing high thickness Cr-Mo steel, and has solved all major problems including defect detection and surface quality fluctuations. So that HBIS products have reached the level of excellent performance and led the industry.
